Event Guidelines

The Coach House is a bespoke accommodation space with the surrounding gardens of The Rift Estate available for a small number of intimate gatherings, events and weddings.

The estate is first and foremost a family home. By reading and adhering to the guidelines below, you will be assured a wonderful event with consideration to our family and the surrounding neighbourhood and community. We hope you thoroughly enjoy your stay and love the property as much as we do.

Events

Use of The Coach House and grounds as an event space is only possible via arrangement and agreement by us prior to your arrival and events cannot be conducted without our approval. All relevant fees must be paid prior to commencement of the accommodation booking.

Furniture

Please do not move or rearrange furniture inside The Coach House.

All inside furniture (including chairs) to remain indoors and is not to be moved outside.

noise

The Coach House is a residential property. Music is permitted to midnight on Friday and Saturday so long as it remains at a moderate level. Please be considerate of neighbours when leaving and keep noise to a minimum.

PARKING

Please ensure that the gravel road behind The Coach House is kept clear at all times, as this is a dual access to a neighbouring property.

Vehicles, trailers or carts are not to be driven onto the lower field or any grassed areas of the property without prior approval.

PETS

Unfortunately pets are not permitted at The Coach House house and gardens, and under no circumstances are any animals to enter The Coach House.

Please note, there is a friendly black dog who lives at the estate house on the property. He will sometimes visit our guests at The Coach House - please don’t allow him inside! Contact us should he become a nuisance.

RUBBISH

There is a yellow-lid recycling bin and red-lid general waste for your convenience, located under the garage. Please remove all additional rubbish and do not leave excessive amounts of rubbish or overloaded bins behind. A fee will be deducted for rubbish deposited into the incorrect bin. There is a local tip in the area and we can offer (via a small fee) for rubbish to be removed. Please discuss if required.

SECURITY BOND

A bond is required to make a booking and payable one month prior to the event. It will be returned to your account once the property has been inspected post your departure and deemed to be in the same state prior to your arrival.

Please respect the property and limit any behaviour likely to cause damage to the property, its contents or the garden. Any damage or expense incurred by us will be deducted from the bond, including things such as breakages, lost items, stain removal, rubbish removal, garden damage and additional cleaning.

Smoking

For the comfort of all our guests smoking is not permitted within the house or anywhere on the grounds.
